At the 2025 Osaka Expo Peace Convergence, young voices from around the world united to explore a powerful question: “What does Peace mean to me?” This gathering took place as part of Peace Convergence, an initiative hosted by the Goi Peace Foundation to bring together people of all generations, backgrounds, and cultures in the shared pursuit of peace.

In this special edition at the EXPO, Miki Kawamura, Director of the Youth Peace Ambassador Program, and Rumi Kawamura, a dedicated Youth Peace Ambassador, took the stage to share insights into the movement. They spoke about the growing global network of youth who are actively working to create positive change in their communities.

One of the highlights of the event was a collection of heartfelt video messages sent from over 70 countries, representing the voices of more than 1,200 young people. Each message carried a personal reflection or commitment to peace, reminding the audience that peace is built through countless small actions taken by individuals around the world.

The event not only showcased the global reach of the Youth Peace Ambassador Program but also reaffirmed a universal truth: peace begins with each of us, and young people are leading the way.
